US based MacWorld has a round up of over ten new iPad 2 cases, including our range of UK made wool felt sleeves.
The magazine website highlighted the options we offer from a simple sleeve to " dual-color (charcoal and orange) model" and "for £3 more, you can opt to add elastic closure straps. "
MacWorld is published by IDG which also publishes PCWorld and syndicates tech news to content portal Yahoo.com.
Apple is selling what it calls a Smart Cover for its latest iPad which functions differently to the more usual choice of protective bags, cases, covers, pouches and sleeves.
Smart covers have some new functionality like automatically switching your iPad on and off and they double up as a stand. They don't cover the whole of your iPad and they also have a hard spine so how you use one with your iPad is worth considering.
If you envisage a Smart Cover as a fairly permanent fixture on your iPad, then bear in mind the hard hinge. If you want to add some form of case for front and back protection when carrying your iPad out and about or storing it in bigger bags with your other stuff , consider a design that has a landscape orientation and which has allowed for the extra height of the hinge.
